The West African Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) form the basis for admitting candidates to first degree programmes.
The equivalences of other qualifications including foreign ones are similarly established. KNUST Cut-off Points 2024/2025 affect only domestic applicants with SSSCE or WASSCE certificate.

KNUST Admission Requirements 2024/2025
For WAASCE candidates, the minimum entry requirements for admission to first degree programmes, prescribed by Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), is aggregate 24.
Credit Passes (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.
About KNUST Cut-off Points 2024/2025
Due to limited resources available, the University determines and approves quota for every programme and selects candidates to fill the spaces based on their aggregate.
This means candidates must compete for the available space based on examination scores.
The minimum aggregate used to select candidates for a programme of study, within the minimum entry requirements of aggregate 24, is the KNUST Cut-off Points or Aggregate.
The Cut-off Points 2024/2025 is not predetermined. It may vary from year to year, based on the pass rate and the available space/resources for a programme.

When is KNUST Admission Deadline?
The KNUST admission deadline for the 2024/2025 academic year is on 30th October, 2024.
All interested qualified applicants are required to buy the KNUST admission forms or E-Voucher and apply on time before the deadline.
Applicants who apply after the deadline will have their admission applications rejected.
Has KNUST Released Admission List for 2024/2025?
The management of KNUST is yet to release the admission list of all successful applicants. This list will contain names of successful applicants, the admission fees and hostel of residence.

What to Do After Checking KNUST Admission Status 2024
1. Acceptance of Admission: Successful applicants who find their names on the KNUST admission list are required to accept the offer of admission. This is done by going forward to pat your admission fees that is stated on the admission letter.
2. Registration: After payment of fees, students are required to visit the campus of KNUST to complete the course registration with the scheduled registration period.
Applicants are to note that applicants who did not meet the KNUST Cut-off Points 2024/2025 for the chosen course will not be considered for admission.
