Latest Update on WASSCE 2024 Result by WAEC
The latest information gathered by quarmsmedia.com has revealed that the West African Examination Council (WAEC) is unable to release the WASSCE 2024 results on the target date on 19th December, 2024.
The West African Examination Council, WAEC assured the general public to release the WASSCE 2024 result on 19th December, 2024. WAEC made this statement on a condition and that is if the government releases funds to the organisation to take care of Post Examination activities.
According to the information gathered, WAEC has not received any funds from the government or Ghana Education Service to take care of the situation.
The matter has landed in Parliament as the Minority in Parliament is demanding that the Finance and Education ministers be summoned to address the house over 100 million cedis indebtedness to the West African Examination Council (WAEC).
According to the Minority, the debt has caused the delay in the regular maintenance of WAEC equipment and delayed payment of examiners.
The Minority is of the greatest conviction that these challenges have led to the delay of the WASSCE 2024 results.
“Information available is that the target date of 19 December for the release of the 2024 results will have to be delayed because examiners are threatening to hold on to their scripts if payments are not made to them.

“Mr Speaker, in conclusion, I wish to urge you to invite the Ministers for Education and Finance to appear before the house and explain why the government is unable to release funds to release the 2024 WAEC results on the target date of 19 December 2024. So that our children and wards are not denied the opportunity of entering tertiary institutions in January 2025,” the Ranking Member of the Education Committee, Peter Nortsu-Kotoe, expressed concern in Parliament.
