The management of National Service Authority (NSA) upon the release of PIN codes  for 9,082 trained teachers from 24 Colleges of education in Ghana, has revealed to the general public that, many colleges of education has expired accreditation.

According to the National Service Authority, a total of 5,336 students comes from institutions with expired accreditation,  leaving 3,746 students from institutions with active accreditation as recognised by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC)

The Impact of NSS Registration and Postings

In line with NSA’s commitment to Compliance and Transparency, registrations prospective personnel from institutions with Expired Accreditation will have their registrations put on hold until their accreditation status with GTEC is regularized before they are posted for National Service.

The Authority, therefore, urges affected Colleges of Education to engage the GTEC promptly to renew their accreditation status to facilitate PIN code activation and registration for their students.
