GES Study Leave With Pay 2024 Approved Courses, Requirements and Application Process.

Application for Study Leave With Pay has begun for the 2024 academic year. Applicants are to note that the deadline for submission of applications is on 31st October, 2024.

Conditions for Grant of Study Leave With Pay 2024

To qualify for Study Leave With Pay according to GES policy, employees must meet specific conditions:

1. Eligibility requires a minimum of three years of satisfactory service. Beneficiaries are bonded for the number of years served plus an additional year.

2. Staff who have served in designated deprived areas for two years may also be considered for Study Leave With Pay.

3. Non-professional graduate teachers need at least one year of service before being eligible for Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) courses.

4. Employees returning from Secondment must serve a minimum of two years before becoming eligible.

5. Re-appointed or re-engaged staff must serve five years before eligibility.

6. If initially ineligible, staff cannot reapply in subsequent years during their studies and must apply for Study Leave Without Pay.

7. Eligible staff must commit to serving at least two years after completing their course. For instance, staff aged 55 and above cannot apply for Study Leave With Pay for courses lasting four years or more but can for courses between one to two years.

Eligibility criteria include good conduct, performance, and a recommendation from an immediate supervisor.

Application Procedures for Study Leave With Pay 2024

1. Obtain application forms from Metro/Municipal/District Education Offices.

2. Complete application forms (4 copies) and attach certified true copies of certificates.

3. Submit applications to the Regional Director through the respective Metro/Municipal/District Director/Head of Institution (2nd Cycle).

4. Ensure all fully qualified beneficiaries are listed and submitted to the Acting Director, Human Resource Management and Development (HRMD) at GES Headquarters by October 31, 2024.

1. Buy your admission form and apply for admission at any government accredited university that pursue education for its students. Example University of Cape Coast UCC, University of Education, Winneba, University of Mines and Technology, University of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, AAMUSTED etc.

2. Go and obtain an application form from your District. Applicants can also download the form here by using the link below.

3. You should complete application forms (4 copies).

4. Applicants should attach certified true copies of certificate(s) both college and WASSCE or SSSCE certificate.

5. Application form will be submitted to the Regional Director through the District HR after endorsement.

6. Other Needed Information Includes, SSNIT Number, Staff ID, Ghana Card Number and Pay Slip.
