Here is the 2025 BECE Timetable for Schools across the country.
The management of the West African Examination Council WAEC has officially released the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination timetable for schools.
Per the timetable, the examination is scheduled to commerce from 9th June, 2025 to 16th June, 2025.
2024 BECE Timetable – Subjects to be Written
Here are the confirmed subjects to be written by candidates according to the 2024 BECE Timetable released by WAEC.
All students and teachers are required to take note of the confirmed subjects and prepare very well towards the exams.
The list of subjects to be written during the 2024 BECE are;
English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, Religious and Moral Education, Career Technology, Computing, Social Studies, Creative Arts, French, Akuapim-Twi, Arabic and other languages.
From the 2024 BECE Timetable, there will be paper 1 and paper two for all the subjects listed above. The paper 1 will contain objective questions (multiple choice) questions whilst the paper 2 will also comprises of the essay part of the subjects.
2025 BECE Timetable for Schools
Below is the official 2025 BECE Timetable for Schools based on both the new and old curriculum.
Day One (1) – Monday 9th June, 2025
The first paper on Monday is Social Studies paper 2 and paper 1. The duration for this paper is 2 hours starting from 09:00 am to 10:45 am.
The second paper on Monday is Computing paper 2 and paper 1. The duration for this paper is 1 hours and 15 minutes starting from 01:00 pm to 02:15 pm.
Day 2 – Tuesday 10th June, 2025
The first paper on Tuesday is English Language paper 1 and 2 and Career Technology paper 1 and 2. The duration for the first paper is 2 hours starting from 09:00 am to 11:00 am.
The second paper on Tuesday is Career Technology paper 2 and paper 1. The duration for this paper is 2 hours starting from 01:00 pm to 03:00pm.
Day 3 – Wednesday 11th June, 2025
The first paper on Wednesday is Integrated Science paper 1 and 2 and Ghanaian Language paper 1 and 2. The duration for the first paper is 2 hours starting from 09:00 am to 11: 00am.
The second paper on Wednesday, that is Ghanaian Language paper 1 and 2 starts from 1:00pm to 03:00pm.
Day 4 – Thursday 12th June, 2025
The first paper on Thursday is Mathematics paper 1 and 2. The duration for this paper is 2 hours starting from 09:00 am to 11:00 am.
The second paper on Thursday is Religious and Moral Education paper 1 and 2 and the duration for this paper is 1 hr 45 mins starting from 01:00 pm to 02:45 pm.
Day 4 – Friday 13th June, 2025
The first paper on Friday is French paper 2 and French paper 1. The duration for this paper is 1 hours and 45 minutes starting from 09:00 am to 10:45 am
The second paper on Friday is Creative Ats and Design paper 1 and 2. The duration for this paper is 1 hours and 15 minutes starting from 01:00 pm to 02:15 pm.
Day 6 – Monday 16th June, 2025
The first paper on Monday is Arabic paper 2 and Arabic paper 1. The duration for this paper is 1 hours and 45 minutes starting from 09:00 am to 10:45 am.
2024 BECE Timetable – Duration for Each Paper.
WAEC noted that the duration on the 2024 BECE Timetable varies. WAEC noted both paper 1 and 2 for each subject are to be taken at a sitting. However the duration indicated on the question paper differs from the one on the Timetable. Hence the duration on the timetable should be the one to be followed.
