According to an official letter dated 8th June 2026 and signed by Prof. Smile Dzisi (Mrs.), Deputy Director-General (Management Services), for the Director-General, the exercise is being carried out in collaboration with the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) and the Public Services Commission (PSC).

The directive, addressed to all Regional Directors of Education, explains that the verification exercise is intended to validate and update the personal records of all staff members within the Ghana Education Service.

This initiative forms part of broader efforts to ensure a smooth transition to the new Scheme of Service and to support a fair and transparent job evaluation process.

Required Documents for Staff Verification

GES has instructed Regional Directors to work closely with Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Directors of Education to collect and forward staff personal files to the Human Resource Management and Development (HRMD) Division Secretariat at the GES Headquarters.

To facilitate the exercise, every staff personal file must contain the following documents:

  1. Letter of Appointment
  2. Completed and signed Personal Record Form
  3. Certified true copies of Academic and Professional Certificates
  4. Copies of all Promotion Letters
  5. Any other relevant personnel documents relating to the staff member’s career progression and status within the Service

The Service has emphasized that all files must be thoroughly checked for completeness before submission.
