The management of the West African Examinations Council WAEC has officially released the 2024 BECE Timetable for JHS 3 Candidates. In this article, we will let you know the full Timetable of the 2024 BECE from the start to the end.
About the 2024 BECE Timetable
From the management of WAEC to the Ghana Education Service, Ministry of Education, Pre-tertiary schools, teachers, students and parents, the 2024 BECE will start on Monday 8th July, 2024 and ends on Monday 15th July, 2024.
2024 BECE Timetable – Subjects to be Written
Here are the confirmed subjects to be written by candidates according to the 2024 BECE Timetable released by WAEC.
All students and teachers are required to take note of the confirmed subjects and prepare very well towards the exams.
The list of subjects to be written during the 2024 BECE are;
English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, Religious and Moral Education, Career Technology, Computing, Social Studies, Creative Arts, French, Akuapim-Twi, Arabic and other languages.
From the 2024 BECE Timetable, there will be paper 1 and paper two for all the subjects listed above. The paper 1 will contain objective questions (multiple choice) questions whilst the paper 2 will also comprises of the essay part of the subjects.
2024 BECE Timetable – Duration for Each Paper.
WAEC noted that the duration on the 2024 BECE Timetable varies. WAEC noted both paper 1 and 2 for each subject are to be taken at a sitting. However the duration indicated on the question paper differs from the one on the Timetable. Hence the duration on the timetable should be the one to be followed.
2024 BECE Timetable
Day One (1) – Monday 8th July, 2024
The first paper on Monday is English Language paper 2 and paper 1. The duration for this paper is 2 hours starting from 09:00 am to 11:00 am.
The second paper on Monday is Religious and Moral Education paper 2 and paper 1. The duration for this paper is 1 hours and 45 minutes starting from 01:00 pm to 02:45 pm.
Day 2 – Tuesday 9th July, 2024
The first paper on Tuesday is Integrated Science paper 2 and Integrated Science paper 1. The duration for this paper is 2 hours starting from 09:00 am to 11:00 am.
The second paper on Monday is Computing paper 2 and paper 1. The duration for this paper is 2 hours starting from 01:00 pm to 03: 00 pm.
Day 3 – Wednesday 10th July, 2024
The first paper on Wednesday is Social Studies paper 2 and Social Studies paper 1. The duration for this paper is 1 hours and 45 minutes starting from 09:00 am to 10:45 am.
The second paper on Wednesday is Creative Arts paper 2 and Creative Arts paper 1. The duration for this paper is 1 hours and 55 minutes starting from 01:00 pm to 02:55 pm.
Day 4 – Thursday 11th July, 2024
The first paper on Thursday is Mathematics paper 2 and Mathematics paper 1. The duration for this paper is 2 hours starting from 09:00 am to 11:00 am.
The second paper on Thursday is Ghanaian Language paper 2 and Ghanaian Language paper 1. The duration for this paper is 2 hours starting from 01:00 pm to 03:00 pm.
Day 5 – Friday 12th July, 2024
The first paper on Friday is French paper 2 and French paper 1. The duration for this paper is 1 hours and 45 minutes starting from 09:00 am to 10:45 am
The second paper on Friday is Career Technology paper 2 and Career Technology paper 1. The duration for this paper is 1 hours and 45 minutes starting from 01:00 pm to 02:45 pm.
Day 6 – Monday 15th July, 2024
The first paper on Monday is Arabic paper 2 and Arabic paper 1. The duration for this paper is 1 hours and 45 minutes starting from 09:00 am to 10:45 am.
Things To Note About 2024 BECE Timetable
1. Both paper 1 and 2 for each subject are to be taken at a sitting without a break.
2. Candidates with visual or hearing impairment are to be allowed for an additional 50% of the time allocated for the other candidates.
