Here is the latest update on how to check 2025 SHS/SHTS/TVET school placement.

The Ghana Education Service GES, has officially released the 2025 Senior High Schools/ Technical Schools placement results for all candidates who sat for the 2025 BECE.

BECE 2025 candidates can now check their schools they have been placed in for the 2025/2026 academic year.

According to GES, the placement is absolutely free of charge. Henceforth, all students, parents and guardians are advised not to pay money in the name of checking or changing placement.

GES once again emphasized that, the placement process is Computerized and merit-based with no manual interference or influence.

How to check 2025 SHS Placement 

The procedure is as follows:

1. Visit the official Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) portal: www.gesschoolplacement2025

2. Click on the “Check Placement” button.

3. Enter your Date of Birth and BECE Index Number.

4. Submit to display your placement results.

5. Print out the placement form for reference and use during admission.

GES has emphasized that this service is free, and candidates should disregard fraudsters promising to “upgrade” or “change” placement outcomes.

2025 SHS Self-Placement Option

GES also reminded candidates who were not automatically placed in any of their chosen schools that they have the opportunity to use the self-placement module on the CSSPS portal.

The self-placement process allows candidates to select from schools that still have available slots. The steps are as follows:

1. Log on to the CSSPS portal at schoolplacement2025.portal

2. Select the “Self-Placement Module.”

3. Choose your preferred school from the list of schools with vacancies.

4. Select your programme of study.

5. Choose your residential status (day or boarding, depending on availability).

6. Confirm and print your placement form.

GES noted that once a candidate completes the self-placement process, the choice is considered final, and they must proceed to the school for admission.

GES has urged parents and guardians to prepare their wards adequately for the transition, including acquiring necessary supplies and admission requirements on time.

The Service has acknowledged that the placement portal may experience slow response times due to heavy traffic.

Students are advised to remain patient and attempt to log in at less busy hours if they encounter delays.

Admission Process 

According to the management of GES, admission of students should strictly follow the placement it’s generated by CSSPS secretariat.

No school is permitted to admit students outside the official placement with a written approval from GES.

Reopening and Registration 

According to the management of GES, placed students are to report to their schools from 18th October, 2025 to begin the registration process.

Heads of schools are to ensure that the registration is done smoothly and in accordance with the guidelines provided.

Caution

GES issued a strong warning to the public: the placement results cannot be changed by any individual.

Candidates and parents should not send money to anyone promising to manipulate placements, as such claims are fraudulent.

The placement process is automated and final. If there are any issue, individuals should contact the help centres established by the service.
