GES Recruitment 2026 Application Process
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially opened the GES recruitment 2026 application portal.
All prospective applicants can visit the portal to apply NOW. However, prospective applicants are required to follow the application steps carefully to avoid mistakes and failed submissions.

HOW TO APPLY
1. Read the Eligibility Requirements carefully.
2. After reading the requirements, click on “APPLY NOW”
3. To create an “ACCOUNT“, Click the “SIGN UP” option.
4. Enter the following details to get your “Application ID”.
- Ghana Card ID
- Email Address
- Mobile Number
NOTE: Copy the Application ID generated and login to start your application. (Very Important)
5. Fill in your Personal Details and Upload all the Required Documents
- Fill out an online form with all accurate personal details.
- Upload certificates and required documents in PDF format.
- Review application details
- Submit the application
After submission, the GES recruitment team screens applicants, shortlists qualified candidates, and conducts document verification before final postings.
Application Period and Recruitment Timeline
The recruitment portal is opened from April 10, 2026 and close on 17th April, 2026.
Prospective applicants are required to act very fast before the deadline.
Quota for GES Recruitment 2026
The Minister of Education in a media briefing openly confirmed that approval has been given to recruit 7,000 teachers nationwide to strengthen the education sector.
Target Group of Trained Teacher
Interested applicants must know that the recruitment exercise will target graduates from the 2023, 2024, and 2025 cohorts.
Holders of Diploma Certificates and Bachelor’s of Education from Colleges of Education and Graduates from Universities can apply.
Eligible Requirements for GES Recruitment 2026
To apply as a teacher, you must:
1. Have a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Certificate.
2. Complete National Service.
3. Pass the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE).
4. Be of good character and medically fit.
5. Be willing to work anywhere in Ghana.
