The Methodist College of Education, Akim Oda, has officially announced several employment opportunities for qualified and experienced professionals seeking to advance their careers in Ghana’s education sector.

Non-Teaching Positions Available
The College is inviting applications for the following non-teaching positions:
- Senior Administrative Assistant
- Counsellor
Senior Administrative Assistant
Applicants interested in the Senior Administrative Assistant position must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
In addition, candidates should have served as an Administrative Assistant in a recognized institution for at least three years.
The College expects applicants to demonstrate strong competence in office administration, records management, effective communication, and the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) applications.
Counsellor
The Counsellor position is open to candidates who hold an M.Phil. degree in Guidance and Counselling, Counselling Psychology, Educational Psychology, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
Applicants must have a minimum of three years of professional counselling experience.
Again, candidates who possess a PhD qualification will have an added advantage during the selection process. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students’ academic, social, and personal development.

Lecturer Requirements
Candidates applying for lecturer positions must possess a PhD in the relevant field, in addition to M.Phil. and Bachelor’s Degrees in related disciplines.
1. At least four years of teaching experience in a recognized tertiary institution.
2. Evidence of scholarly publications.
3. Active involvement in research and academic activities.
Successful applicants will be expected to teach undergraduate courses, supervise student research projects, and conduct scholarly research.
