Here is the 2026/2027 Academic Calendar for SHSs and SHTSs.
The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) wishes to inform parents/guardians, students, and the general public that the academic calendar for Senior High Schools (SHSs) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTSs) for the 2026/2027 academic year has been finalised.
The calendar covers Single Track Schools and Transitional Schools.

2026/2027 Academic Calendar for Single Track Schools
Form One (1) and Two (2)
1. First Semester
- In School : 18th September, 2026 – 29th January, 2027.
- Vacation: 30th January, 2027 – 29th March, 2027.
2. Second Semester
- In School: 30th March, 2027 – 30th July, 2027
- Vacation: 31st July 2027 [End of academic year].
Form Three (3)
First Semester
- In School: 18th September, 2026 – 18th December, 2026.
- Vacation: 19th December, 2026 – 31st January, 2027.
Second Semester
In School: 1st February, 2027 – 18th June, 2027 [End of academic year].

First Semester
- In School: 18th September, 2026 – 13th November, 2026.
- Online at home: 16th November, 2026 – 18th December, 2026.
- Break: 19th December, 2026 – 7th February, 2027.

- Online at home: 19th April 2027 – 14th May, 2027.
- Vacation: 15th May, 2027 – 20th June, 2027.
Second Semester
